Karns is guiding students into their future career with our Academies. The Academies are set in place to guide students to the right career path and to enroll them into the right classes that fit in place with their Academies. There are 3 Academies in place; the Business and marketing, Creative Arts, and the Human services and health academy. Some students said their opinions on the new academies this year,a junior here at Karns, Estella Ordonez, says ¨I think it is Beneficial because i’m only getting classes that i actually need to graduate and to help me in the future”, as she is in the Human services and health academy.
¨I really do think they help us in choosing our career paths and easily help guide us through high school, as I’m in the Business and Marketing/Management academy,¨ says sophomore Jacaiya Asop.
The Academies here at Karns are specifically designed for the students assigned for them, for example, the Business and Marketing/Management academy prepares students for jobs that circle around the management jobs out there for students after college or jobs in their teenage years.
Jada Burgins says ¨I think they are super helpful because they try to help students get in the right career path for their future after high school
The Creative Arts academy circles around jobs that spark creativity within students in their future careers, or teenage jobs they have currently. The Health and Human services academy revolves around doctor, nurse, and chiropractor jobs including ones that are of service to a community and prepare them for that.
All these Academies are strictly placed to fit the students put in them and to prepare them for future careers and aspirations they have after high school/college.
