For such an important subject like agriculture, agriculture here at Karns does not get enough attention. Students learn the importance of science in agriculture, they go over the basics, and more. Through in-person experience and regular class time, students get to see it all.

Karns agricultural teacher Mr. Cameron is very passionate about the class and has plenty of experience too. There are multiple jobs within agriculture such as Agricultural Economist, and

Agricultural Engineer. Many people don’t know that agriculture is very serious to farmers.

“I love my job… I’ve lived and worked on a farm since I could move,” Mr. Cameron said.

It’s an important topic that so many people need to learn and he knows that, making sure he does his very best in his teachings. Agriculture is used for many things such as farming, and fishing. Life, in general, is agriculturally inclined.

“Agriculture is a key factor in how most Americans live,” a student in the class said, “Agriculture also allows us to farm corn, tobacco, and potatoes.”

Mr. Cameron believes dealing with animals is important for students as it can help with managing stress or anger. Plenty of people don’t have pets or animals and the class serves as a great opportunity for students to learn the responsibilities of having a pet.

“People who don’t work with animals get lonely so they take their anger out too much,” Mr. Cameron said

Without agriculture, our world would fall apart. Most tend to forget the importance of it. Most people don’t know how farms operate because they either don’t have a farm or don’t care how farm life works, but at Karns, students are able to find out because of teachers like Mr. Cameron.
