Fashion overall has changed compared to the beginning of the 2000´s. Many students in Karns now wear lots of trending clothes that people in the 2000´s would never wear. Lots of students in Karns are now wearing brands that include such as Essentials, Denim Tears, Sp5der, Ed Hardy, and Stussy. 

In the 2000´s, many students had different styles of styling simple clothing. Some of the biggest fashion trends included low rise jeans that were often paired with either crop tops or layered shirts. Velour tracksuits were also very trending at the time. Many students wore brands such as Juicy Couture and Bebe. Another trend was mini skirts and layering. Skirts were usually paired with leggings, or sometimes girls would wear their tank tops and leggings.

The footwear students would wear was also different compared to now. This includes sparkly flip-flops, Uggs, ballet flats, pointed toe boots, Gladiator sandals, converse, and as well as sketchers. 

Now, In karns students mostly wear shoes that are trending. Such as Knu Skool Vans, Adidas Samba, Jordan sneakers, Uggs Tasman slippers, Uggs lowmell sneakers, and many other sneaker brands (Nike, New balance, etc.). 

The 2000’s era in general, has inspired many students to go back to wearing some stuff that was trending back then but by adding a few changes. Many girls in Karns High School, have been wearing lots of tracksuits, that are brands like, Bebe, Juicy Couture, and Bobby Jack tracksuits. Many guy styles now are inspired by the style back then, such as wearing baggy clothing, graphic tees, cargo pants, and cardigans. 

For many students in Karns, Fashion is really a good way to help express themselves by getting to know other people’s different styles, and to be able to inspire others that it is okay to dress differently because fashion till this day has been inspired by the 2000´s and years before that. Fashion is generational!
