For many students at Karns, Jordans are their go to back to school shoes. When the first day of school is right around the corner and students are getting ready to buy their back to school outfits, Jordan’s are one out of many that’s often bought in the sake of getting a shoe. If there’s one that has dropped recently around that time, depending on the popularity of it or how it was marketed, it nine times out of ten will be bought.
“I was really happy to get my first pair of Jordans, I wanted to feel and look stylish,” Jayla Lusk said.
Many choose to get Jordan shoes because they either want to look good in the latest fashion, the shoe just dropped, or because it’s just a popular shoe brand. From the details to the designs, jordans come in many different styles and colorways making it almost impossible to not have anything like a shirt that would match the shoe, that’s what makes the brand so cool and influencing.
“When a celebrity advertises a shoe it tends to make people want them more,” S’yriah said.
When someone that has a large fan base partners up with a brand or company, the product they advertise is more likely to get many sales due to their fans taking the admirable feeling they have for the celeb onto the product that was advertised, creating an influential movement.
Some editions that Jordan has dropped in the year of 2025 that have been pretty popular are the re-imagined “Air Jordan” 5 retro og black metallic, “Air Jordan” 4 white cement and, the “Air Jordan” 3 retro rare air.
Jordans are priced the way they are now due to the materials that are used, cultural significance, and inflation. These prices can be troubling when Jordan consistently drops shoes that Jordan fans or collectors will adore because it can cause an effect on their pockets.
“Michael Jordan has dropped nothing but heat all 2025, my bank account is starting to hurt,” Lupita Miller said.
