Karns High School provides many different circumstances for students, especially freshmen, to learn new things and meet new people. The class of 2029 is officially making their mark. From adjusting to new routines to finding their place in the hallways, this year’s freshmen are starting a new journey. To get to know them better we spoke with some of the newest students.
“It was a pretty big transition… a lot bigger school, more people,” Ryder Bullock said.
The transition from Middle school to High School can be a big transition for most freshmen, wanting to stand out for the upperclassmen and making new friends can be a struggle for some. The transition is just the beginning of the memories and experiences that will define their high school years.
“This is a brand new school [for me],” Ella Bishop said, “I transferred over to Karns last minute and I love my classes, the people are so nice.”
Karns High School has built welcoming places for new transfer students, hopefully making everyone feel accepted. From the supportive teachers to the friendly classmates, everyone helps ease the challenges of adjusting to a new environment.
“[I enjoy] getting to have more and more freedom and hanging out with new people and friends,” Cody Hayes said.
Karns High School gives students more opportunities to branch out. For many freshmen, the freedoms of high school makes education feel more exciting and comfortable, helping them find out where they fit in.
The first weeks of school might feel overwhelming but the class of 2029 has already shown their excitement. Soon these students will become a part of Karns High School, building friendships and finding their place. This is only the beginning, and the future looks promising.
