At Karns High School, DECA gives students chances to learn real business skills while having fun. From organizing projects to pitching creative ideas, members get hands-on experience that feels so real. Since the start of the year DECA has been helping students get ready for the future.
“DECA prepares future entrepreneurs and leaders of the world,” Madison Dewitt said.
DECA is not just about competing or doing projects but preparing students for what’s next. Whether it’s learning how to lead a team, give a presentation, or come up with creative business ideas, DECA gives students real world skills they will actually use in the future. That’s why so many members see it as more than just a club.
“ All of my friends started joining it… but I’m glad I did because I met so many new people,” said Hallie Burtch
DECA is a place to meet new people and make friends. He joined because her friends were in it, but ended up finding a bigger community than she expected. DECA gives students the chance to connect, try new things, and have fun while learning skills.
“It teaches me a lot about communication skills and being able to talk with different people,” said Ally Hartsfield.
DECA helps students step out of their comfort zone and improve their communication skills. It’s more than just learning about business and about gaining confidence and connecting with people.
Overall, DECA gives students so much more than business experience. It helps them grow as people, build confidence, and create lasting friendships. Whether it’s earning new skills, meeting new people, or preparing for the future, DECA continues to make a positive impact on students at Karns High School.
