Knoxville offers a wide variety of coffee shops to appeal to every personality.

With colder weather on the way, there’s nothing better than a nice cup of coffee to warm the soul. Here’s a list of some of Knoxville’s ideal coffee shops to go to.

WILD LOVE BAKEHOUSE

1625 N Central St, Knoxville, TN 37917

Wild Love Bakehouse is by far my favorite of any of the cafes on this list and for good reason. While their Matcha Latte is absolutely heavenly all the credit must go to their Prosciutto and Gruyere croissant. You can often see their employees in the back, hand making most of their food  with the ingredients grown in their parking lot. Due to COVID their dining room is closed but you can order online through their website or through Toast Tab. They are open Wednesday through Sunday.

HEY BEAR CAFE

9036 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923

Hey Bear Cafe is an up and coming cafe located on Middlebrook Pike and is known for their Boba Tea.  All their coffee is made from Cafe Du Monde, a renowned coffee and beignet shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans. And as someone who can only drink their cream and sugar with a little bit of coffee, this is the real deal. While the inside of their shop is closed they are still having outdoor events like a “Mask”erade event on Halloween and even supporting one of our own KHS musicians, CJ Lucas. They are open everyday from 8am-8pm.

THE LIFEHOUSE

2100 W Emory Rd, Powell, TN 37849

Located in between Bojangles and Powell High School, Lifehouse is bringing small town comfort. With their Panini Grilled Cheese and tomato soup, you´ll be guaranteed to feel right at home, and variety is no stranger to The Lifehouse with their flavored Lattes featuring Chai Tea Spice and Gingerbread. Lifehouse is open inside every day but Sunday from 6:30am-9pm.

K BREW

7822 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 (west)

507 S Gay St, Knoxville, TN 37902 (downtown)

1138 N Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917 (north)

While I have never been to K Brew the reviews are astounding, with everything from homemade bagels to coffee from Ethiopia, they have a lot to offer. Don’t like coffee? Not a problem, there’s a variety of beverages to choose from such as African Rose Tea and a cup of Hot Chocolate made from Cruze Farms milk. Coffee lovers have a lot of variety with their Chipotle Maple Latte, Butterbier Latte and Honey Lavender Lattes. Their North Knox shop is closed, but you can still order on their website for the other two locations.

PERK CITY

3229 E Magnolia Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914

While the saying “saving the best for last” doesn’t always live up to expectations, with this next coffee shop it certainly does. Perk City is on Magnolia Avenue right beside Chilhowee Park and is a great stop after a nice day at the park.  Not a clue what to order? Not a problem! Their menu is practically customizable. They have everything from a classic house roast to cordial cherry mocha. And the best part? They have a board featuring the charity of the month that part of the proceeds go to. They also have a pay it forward board in case you don’t have anything on you at the time. They are open everyday of the week from 8-1 except for the weekends where they are open 8-12:30 and are closed on Sundays.
