It Would Be Cruel Not to Come to Ghoul at the School

The Event Planning class is working together to plan this year’s Ghoul at the School.

It is almost time for the annual ghoul at the school event. Ghoul at the school is an entirely free community event all Karns are invited to. It is put together to welcome our community to Karns High School and interact with students at Karns High School. It is in place for the Karns district to have a fun get-together so not only children but also parents can have a good time within the Karns area.

The event planning class has taken it over and decided to put their own spin on it. There will be crafts and games that are organized by students here at Karns. Then you will travel through the school and see all of the themed decorations and other activities, Then you will go through the back and participate in a trunk or treat

The crafts are mainly student-based ideas “So each student (there are twelve of them) comes up with a game and a craft idea and they get voted on, ̈ said Cynthia Rhoden.

Something like this doesn’t just put itself together, it takes a whole lot of planning and it starts pretty early in the year. To ensure that everything is just right, not only that but to make everything a little easier on the people running it.

The event is in October and the planning starts in September. ̈It does take a lot of prep time. My event planning class has already started putting ideas together. So each student (there are twelve of them) comes up with a game and a craft idea and they get voted on, ̈said Rhoden.

For something like this to be put on it is not cheap. The event planning class and Mrs. Rhoden are doing everything they can to cut costs but there are still a lot of things you can not cut corners on here is what Mrs. Rhoden has to say about it ̈They give me an estimated price list and we go down the list and see what we can make to cost costs a little bit, and we also get donations ̈

Lots of people, not just the ones within the event planning class are included in this event such as Sports teams, Deca, and other clubs within the school.

Rhoden and the event planning class are beyond excited to be putting this on for the Karns community. Get ready it will be a blast, be super cool and come to Ghoul at the School.
